About this event

When TRUESDAYS Became All About 1-on-1 Connections.

TRUESDAYS: December Speed-Mentoring & Business Mixer turned our regular meetup into a one-night matchmaking experiment for the startup and tech community in Prague. Instead of a panel or classic programme, the whole evening at Radlická Kulturní Sportovna was built around curated connections – founders meeting investors, mentors, other founders, operators and future founders.

Nearly 200 people joined us throughout the night. In the first part, 23 investors and mentors ran almost 100 SPEED-MENTORING sessions in just 45 minutes, with focused 10-minute 1-on-1 meetings on fundraising, sales, product, expansion and strategy. Afterwards, more than 80 people took part in our new Business Mixer format: four rounds, eight minutes per round, every time a new table and a new group of people to meet. Around it all, open networking continued at the bar and across the venue.

Investor ↔ Startup Speed-Dating: Ground rules

Max 4 Meetings per Startup

To keep it fair for everyone, each startup can book up to 4 investor/mentor meetings during Speed-Dating. Each investor or mentor offers 4 × 10-minute slots, so we can open the format to as many founders as possible.

🧠 Come Prepared

Do your homework: check each investor’s focus (stage, sector, geography), prepare a 2–3 minute pitch and know what you want – feedback, intro or follow-up.

🎯 Book Only Relevant Investors

Please don’t book meetings just to “collect logos”. If your startup clearly doesn’t fit an investor’s focus, we may cancel or reassign your slot to another founder.

🔁 Prioritise New Connections

If you’ve already had a proper 1:1 meeting with an investor, don’t book them again in Speed-Dating. We want to create new matches, so we reserve the right to cancel duplicate bookings and free the spot for someone else.

Investor ↔ Startup Speed-Dating

⚠️ Speed-dating starts at 6:15 PM. Each month investors and mentors provide four exclusive 10-minute slots for startups. These sessions allow startups to pitch their ideas, discuss their business models, and explore potential partnerships or investment opportunities. Startups can select the investor or mentor they want to meet based on their expertise or focus area.

‼️We strongly recommend preparing ahead of time before booking to make the most of these 10 minutes. ‼️ Research the investor or mentor you want to meet with, understand their portfolio, and learn about their areas of interest. This preparation will help you tailor your pitch and maximize the value of the meeting. Remember, this could be a life-changing opportunity, so use the time wisely! Please note that meetings may be canceled if the fit is not suitable for the mentor/investor.

NEW: Business Mixer Speed-Dating

Open to the Startup Community

Business Mixer Speed-Dating is for founders, operators, freelancers, mentors, investors – anyone who wants to grow their network in the startup & tech ecosystem.

5 Minutes per Person

You’ll have up to 5 minutes with each person to introduce yourself, share what you’re working on, and see if there’s a fit – then the bell rings and you move on. Keep it short and focused.

🎯 Come With a Clear Ask

Know what you’re looking for: a customer, collaborator, co-founder, hire, or feedback. A sharp 1–2 sentence intro plus one clear ask will help you get the most from each round.

🤝 Respect & Follow-Up

Give everyone space to speak, no hard selling, and keep an eye on the time. If it clicks, swap contacts and continue the conversation after the round so others get their turn too.

The project TRUESDAYS -Professional content strategy for the startup community is co-financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, the National Recovery Plan, and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
